What color are these Kooka levers?

TPG-2000

Dirt Disciple
They don’t appear to be faded black, I can peel back the grip and underneath is the same color, was this the pewter color?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Black dyes are composed of many different base colours, as they fade the uv will bring out the main colour

Many blacks fade to an orangy bronze or blorange, blurple sometimes blueck

They are Kooka Racha (cantilever versions) in faded Black. The Kooka Pewter was different and the Purple is pretty much 3DV. See attached photos.

If it makes you feel any better.. colours don't actually exist, they're just an interpretation of light's wavelengths by the brain.. your brake levers are selectively reflecting and/or absorbing these wavelengths, as the wavelength enters your eye, your brain converts this information into the sensation of colour, so the "perceived colour" is whatever your brain tells you is.. 😁
