What Are These Brakes?

For some reason I am thinking that they are old low end Shimano although they don't match anything else, and have no markings on them? I'm reasonably certain they are not fap worthy but I quite like them in an understated way. They are on a $40 battered 80's Specialized that just happened to have many XT parts including thumbies

Nah, this is at work. A guy brought the bike in to 'straighten' the rear wheel at was around 3 inches out of true. He didn't want to spend the money on a new wheel / rim so I offered him 40 bucks for the bike.....which after I left I noticed that the frame is bent ha ha.... Oh well, it was a great deal just for the XT stuff.
