Hello! I bought this frame in may and built it with an '84 SR groupset. I've been riding it to work and back and it performs great!

Thank you! Yes, it's definately a rider: 40 km to work and back. I guess that's about 25 miles. The funny thing about Faggin frames is that, apart from the decal, you can hardly distinguish between a high end frame and a lower end one. For example, this is the rare, top of the line Competition model, built with Campagnolo dropouts and very light Columbus tubing (a little bit under 1800 grams!) yet it looks just like the lower end Special model - Columbus Aelle and Gipiemme dropouts. Strange decision by Faggin.
 
I think you see that kind of thing in plenty of Italian steel bikes - often frames built with relatively low end tubesets can have stunning graphics and paintwork. I think it probably says something about the (low) cost of labour when they were being produced. These days a new cromovelato frame is unusual and commands a high price!

They put a lot of care even into their Aelle models. They have a good page on Instagram.
