Just did a ride up near Chesterfield. One of the windiest I have ever done. About 2 miles into the ride come to a stretch of mud, front wheel stops on hidden rock...endo follows.

Now, you know how you make snow angels...lie back in the snow and flap your arms and legs.

Well imagine that...on your front...in 8 inches of mud.

That was me.

Photos to follow (may be a while sadly, on a friend's non-digital camera!).

Muddiest ride of my life :D

HAHAHAHAHAHHA (at Ed)....(ahem)....(composure  )

Mountain Baiku:

Saturday....into shed and lube Avalanche's chain....decide would good idea to clean and degrease upon return....Mike arrives and we hit the trail....conversation hard in the wind...words seem to blow over the fields rather than to the intended receipient....trail mud very sticky....least it's not raining....do a gentle ride for an hour as Mike has a dodgy knee....the hour comes and Mike peels home....I do another half home and get blown home....a windy but good ride today

Sunday....no riding today....my parents over but they arrive with my road bike 8)
