Tea stop. Decide Missy’s Piranha needs updating for a new generation. Dead Tea Bag hangs from handlebar as a token of something or other. Lasts too. Makes it all the way home. Kill it (again) by mistake in the last hundred yards. Not a fitting burial, being skidded to a second death on a train platform by a mud tyre. Best ride of my life.

Rain. Cold. The two intertwine. Irrelevant as we sit in the relative shelter of ‘Mancave’ and wait. Wait some more. Read old MBUK’s. Plan the takeover of the world. Eat reserve emergency food. Still waiting. Brief bit of sun. Go. A trudgery of misery of mudfest. Home. Cake. Empire Strikes Back. “Chewy’s got the arse”. Quote of the day. Best pre ride wait of my life.
