Nice frame and build.

yes, those waterford MTBs are undervalued for sure...this one went higher than they usually go for, probably for the crankset. I have a 2400; they are great bikes, and I hope they are going up in value now.

If I had been in the market..... but true the parts were nice on this and it looked really clean.

This weekend has had some neat bikes. Hell, I nearly went for the Boulder....but then put it out of mind. More of a collector-idea than a I-want-to-ride-that-idea. I wonder if someone here got it?

Whoever it was, waited till the last moments to bid on it...watched it all week without a single bidder, just taunting me, haha.

I figured if I was bidding $500 for anything this week it was going to be the grove X.

Yeah......it is a beautiful bike. Heavy, maybe not the best design.....but purty.

I was heading out and thought about leaving a $501 or something on the odd chance no one took it. I probably would have pulled out at 6 even if I had started down that road....too many bikes in the stable and I am clearing house!

I snagged the waterford, and yes I bid a little extra for the cranks, plus the shipping was less than it should have been. Just pray the aluminum ring on the cranks is not cracked. I will be part it out if anyone wants anything off of it (except the cranks).

Good grab; I highly doubt the aluminum ring will be cracked, unless the guy was a complete beast on the road the few times he rode it. It looks fairly mint for a mtb.
If you've not had a waterford before, you might find the frame to be a keeper. I really love my waterford, for a lugged steel frame- it's light and agile.
