Well do you think they could just stick things like this in a small jiffy bag instead........not the 1st time either, last time the box was twice the size for one presta valve adaptor !!!

Boxes are bought flat packed and thus take up less space = more to one delivery truck and less trucks on the road.

Can be recyled widely. Or re used.

More flat empty new boxes to the ware house ..........but when used and sent out for thier purpose surely takes up more space in a delivery van......instead of a little packet

This is common for crc. Done it many times to me. Not just them either. It's doesn't cost them extra to send that way. As they pay the post office in a fixed contract.

It is very silly as the postman can't fit it through the letter box then a trip to the post office :x

Had a bottom bracket delivered this morning from them whacking great box with a bb in a bag rattling around in it along with a couple of free samples of High5 energy gel. Says clean energy on them, would rather get my energy from a pie

I just took delivery of a pair of sram clamps from CRC and they came in a jiffy bag.
Strange :?

So as not to pick on crc, wiggle have done it too. A single foling tire came in a box you could fit a child in ! I didn't know it cost them the same......i gues they run out of small packetsand just use a box instead...........not a great advert for cycling and green energy.

I had a hope axle in a similar crc box took an extra day to get as had to go to the sorting office.

I ordered last week some small tools an quid clearance bits.
they came in one of them boxes and taking two days longer than normal.

2 day s later I order some Fork oil (500ml) from them. It turned up the same day ( a bit later) in a jiffy bag.

so the larger heavier bit comes in a jiffy bag and two days quicker.
No freebies though :(

( In fact the tool I really wanted was missing, the packaging was there, but the tool inside it was missing, A Park tool 2.2mm pin tool. thing is it's clear plastic packaging was all cracked and you'd quite easily see the tool not being there.
Of course CRC do not work weekend  so still waiting a reply from Friday.. )

Same here.

Dragged my ar$e all the way to the sorting office to collect a shoe box only to find a set of Marzocchi seals hiding in the bottom corner.
