Brought this one of a Ebayer the other day, but again its cracked in the head tube and I got a full refund as the vendor was unaware. With this and my old frame (see othe post), the moral of the story is hammer the crap out of them before you dump them!

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
Have you complained to ebay about these auctions yet? Obviously both misdescribed and unsafe for use and neither state this.

Could this ebay seller go on the bad sellers list?

Carl.

Good they are continuously posting bike stuff on there that they supposedly get from house clearances.
I bet the council don't have a set contractor that they sell to might be worth a call to the council and a visit to the tip.
They refused to even sell me a Rockhopper that was there once.

While on the one hand they shouldn't be selling obvious scarp as good, I would also hate that all the good stuff that people unknowingly skip gets crushed without the chance to resell on.

I think it will be the fact that someone is paying the staff for this kit outside of any agreements that the council may have, the dodgy gits are then putting it on ebay.

The frames have been pulled - phew.

Vendor reckons they are licensed to trade items from the Skip:

"We are a legitimate LTD recycling company, under contract to the Local Authority to recycle any items disposed of at the local Civic amenities site. We do not conduct our business illegally. We are unable to find any damage on this item, please advise, the ebayer you purchased this item from and yourself have left mutual positive feedback ??????"

Hey they did the right thing - good on them. I'll learn next time to cut them first!

And describing them as house clearance when they are being pulled out of a skip is.....?

Hardly likely to say that we bung the guys at the dump a few quid each time we come down to remove the kit they put aside for us and if they genuinely couldn't find any damage they'd still be there.

Also why would the man from the council be so interested in them, I reckon they have been rumbled.

Carl.
