Wanted: right hand (rear) 8 speed shimano compatible shifter

hi all thanks for looking,

i am need of a lonely right hand (rear) 8 speed shifter. not too bothered if its a thumb shifter of sti, but would prefer both to grip shift.

im running a 1 by 8 system on my new winter hack so dont need a left shifter.

HI BAC I HAVE SOME CHEAP ALIVIO 8 SPEED SHIFTER THINGS, PREFER TO SELL AS A PAIR, OR RIGHT HAND FOR A TENNER AND YOU GET THE LEFT HAND FREE, THEY ARE IN GOOD NICK THOUGH

I have a pair of 8 spd XT STI shifter / brake lever units.

Used, levers are a bit scratched but shifters are in good condition and work fine.

Left hand one is missing the gear indicator window (lost it when I took the shifter off the brake unit for a single chain ring set up.) Shifter pod is there and has hardly ever been used.

Pre-V brake so for use with cantilevers (or v brakes if you're a little mad and want mentally powerful and sensitive brakes.)

Probably about '94 ? Can sort out some pics over the weekend if you're interested.

I've got a lonely stx rc 8 speed shifted. Cost me £10 from fuss forum earlier in the year. Would be looking for the same. Let me know if you are interested.

baca, the Alivio/STX shifter are the same more or less and as good quality as the others especially for a winter hack. Just a bit chunkier.

Sure i've seen some XT/XTR 8 speed pods in the for sale section, about 20 to 30 quids normally for some used and scratched ones

I might have some 8 speed SRT Gripshift, will delve in to the box, but just re-read and that not what you want.
(also have the STX / Alivio shifters)
