Retro Newbie
Hey people.
I'm looking forward to building up a new steel hardtail. (although titanium, Skandium or some kind of advanced alien material would also be considered) I'm going to rely on the wealth of knowledge out there and let people suggest what they've got. Nothing over £150 ( and pref less!) unless you think it'll change my life, and if there can be BBs Headsets, forks thrown into the deal, so much the better, and I'll be up for negotiation.
I used to ride a clockwork.. Loved it's 'whippyness'.. I don't need something from last season, but I want a solid versatile geometry that's good for up-to-date XC forks. Weight or fashion is of secondary importance.. although I want to start with something worth making a light bike around.
I have to confess I rode a Marin a few months ago, and found it a delight, but it was old and wouldn't have work with sus forks. Found that out with my Old 'O' too.
P.s rather it wasn't a Specialised!!
I'm 5'11" btw, 75Kgs
