if your running a cassette you lose 2-3 gears, some are not losing any.......and maybe the granny/inside ring on the cranks, again, some bikes are fine though.

SS set up is fine........as is alfine like mentioned.

i rarely go through tight undergrowth hence i will keep my mechs......otherwise id go alfine/ss/roholf, no risk of losing one

please keep us posted on your desicions.
