Hi mate
I have gone back and edited my posts as my head is somewhere else completely today, don't know what's going on, or most likely too many things going on and too many situations where I am trying to remember some numbers
My non 7400 is a 7410 that you mentioned, its always been a 7410 until this morning when I gave it a brake code of 7403. I haven't even had a drink this Christmas so no excuses really.
The 7410 is similar looking to the 7700 but I think its narrower and more a slimline version. I have owned 7700 as well and I think the 7410 is lighter. I originally bought this to use with the 7700 brakes, mechs and shifters on my Merckx. I like the look of it and its also spotless. This is generally my back up for anything that needs built to ride.
I have always kept the 7400/7402 mix for the Merckx when it gets old/retro and needs a freshen up, my stuff isn't mint but its nice enough. I have an 8 speed wheelset and I have the choice of STI or downtube but think I would go downtube. If I was to use the brifters I may as well keep my Ultegras that are already on there and just put the 7700 stuff on it.
