Wanted, a short 1.25 ahead stem

Ive just bought this for my girlfriend;

But the stem is a little long for her.

So am after something shorter, about 80mm would do it I think.

Problem is its a 1" 1/4 headtube ahead stem.

Has anyone got something lying around that they are willing to sell please?

Thought I had struck gold on ebay, turns out it was an 1" 1/8 stem when it arrived :evil:

you'll struggle for short 1.25in stems, 1.25in stuff was right in the middle of the MUST-HAVE-LONGEST-STEM-POSSIBLE era

i'd get an inline seatpost/move the saddle forward, it's going to be quicker.

sorry, on closer inspection it turns out to be 1 1/8. what confused me was that it was on a quill converter in 1 1/4 forks resently purchased & chucked to the back of the shed as i along with my 1 1/4" bikes all come from the afore mentioned 'must have the longest stem possible' era. there was a reason tho...... my funk came with a 15 deg rise 130mm stem & had a tendency to wash out, dumping me on my face. fitted 140, 5 deg i beam, bit more weight on the front & problem solved.

Why not get a quill stem reducer as the man says and then you can use a 1 1/8 short ahead stem?
