is it exactly 24.0mm you need as I think I might have one (though it may be 24.2 or 23.8mm) - ?

I am not sure, that was the size i got when i googled on the peugeot cheap racer seatpost size ..pretty sure it is correct

It'll be exactly 24mm, this size was unique to Peugeot carbolite frames.

You can get a 22.2 BMX micro-adjust seatpost and shim it with some .9mm brass sheet. I got a used seatpost for £1 at a car boot sale and brass offcut for free from a local metalworker.

I do have a 24mm seatpost but the saddle clamp bolt is rounded off. If I can get it out, you can have it. Also I don't know where I put it...
