it was....full leather inside in perfect condition....had 2 days to either pay for 180 quid tax...or 200 to get it fixed or another 40 quid on insurance.....not much time tofigure how to turn lead into gld to pay for it all.....plus some firms charge to collect....no rust anywhere .....great now im miserable again...

OOOOOOOH, now that's a good alternative . Tax exempt too. Needs a bit more work than mine by the look of it, although I'm going to have to fork out a coule of grand on tidying the old boy up :twisted:

Don't be put off by autos, either - it's a good responsive auto, and have the legs, too - mines got 250k miles on the clock - nothing done to the engine (apart from oil changes, and same for the autobox).

I bought a 3 year old 240 GLT auto estate in 1991 (Kids, dog etc)

Still got it in the family but tinworm is starting to get a bit of a hold now :evil:
