Vitus 979 MK1 owners....help please

Aero ones are comfy, alas I'm doing a team bike copy and that used '84 SR etc. I think the issue with the Quinn is where I have them positioned - in the centre of the curve as per the style for TT bikes, it's a position my wrists don't like but I can live with it on that bike as it sees a nominal amount of use. Just hope having them higher on the curve will reap rewards and be more comfortable on this Vitus. we shall see on that one.

Re:

You'd have thought there must have been some solution for small handed riders theycouldn't have been that few and far between! There's some really cool off-catalog equipment such as SR retrofriction shifters - hens teeth though

Re:

I have a 979 with a 25.0 mm vitus aero that is a tighter fit than I was comfortable with.
In the light of this thread I'll be checking the seatpost diameter carefully.
Fortunately I have a Campagnolo Aero 25.0 that I can compare the fit of.

Yes it does seem to show that there are discrepancies - there is certainly a variation in diameters on posts that I have, but also on both frames. I think i'll invest in some better vernier calipers.
