Er....yes 40 a bargain ... but I’m just looking at that bb chainstay joint. Is it just the light or is that a definite crack or lack of material between them? Why isn’t there weld buildup around the chainstay? Is this just the way that the CR7s were made? They weren’t bonded were they?
Ah....addition...just realised I was being dopey ... rear is steel front is alloy. Can’t be welded together. May have been an engineered interference fit at the bb or the end of the tubes are swaged or .. bolted internally? I’ve never played with these so it’s an interesting issue ...
And this photo shows the amazing mud clearance which was achieved on this frame by having the 15mm wider bb - something I mentioned in another post recently
