Vintage ever ready front lamp with 6v led

I have received a couple of led bulbs for the front lamp. The difference is the angle of the lumens
The one on the left is 30 deg and the one on the right is 100 degrees.

The bulb pattern is better. I dont know if you can see a difference from the pic posted earlier with the 100deg led in.
This is the 30deg.

I have just compared the pics and the newer bulb looks to have a blue tint to it. It is white though and does leave a pattern on the wall (even in daylight), whereas the 100deg bulb does not, not even in a dark room.

Screw-in LED bulbs that look like filament ones? Ingenious. Not seen those before - I'm tempted to recommend them to the Physics technicians at the school I work in, although they might not be as pupil-proof as old-style ones when it comes to overloading etc.

I lit up the 3v one with 6 volts and it lit up bright. I thought the batteries were a bit low as the bulb took it. I turned it on for the second time and blew it straight away. Now, I just have the 6v led's to use. I have seen some led bulbs for the rear light but they are £10 plus postage. A bit pricey for one bulb.
