You also have to understand that teenagers perhaps who bought say the iphone 1 are a few years older and now feel that is vintage so it's perspective.

In the internet age 6 months seems a long time

now if you ask a teen about henry the 8th most will say...how would I know I wasn't born then

I come across "young" people all the time who seem to thing that any bike (usually a DH bike) made after 2003 is waaay vintage. Dude etc etc

came across 1 guy earlier this year, who'd just gotten into mtb who just didn't believe me that I used to race DH, not only on a HT but on full rigid.

I was riding bikes offroad, doing jumps, etc. before bmx even existed. In MY day, we didn't have pads or helmets. I had a 20" Huffy that weighed a ton, and if you wiped out and hit the ground hard you got banged up, bloodied up, and got the wind knocked out of you, and if you were lucky enough to survive, you got to try it again another day. That's the way it was and we LIKED it!
