Cool bike though (if a little over-priced) and like Carsten said - no cracks! I'd love a Manitou but I'm a bit put off by all these cracking headtubes so maybe a Marin or Balance would be a good alternative, especially the FRS Ti!

the '94 Marin catalogue on this site, shows an Aluminium, a double butted cro-mo and a ti version of this FRS frame, but this looks like it could be a '95 (?) model as the paint job is different

Totally agree it is indeed a 93 Pine FRS with Mani 1 forks.

Tough luck for that bloke because I bought a new bike yesterday and no longer have the available cash

Not Mani 1 forks - they are '95 'Comp' or 'Magnum' - can't remember which. Frame is deffo '93.

Not a knock-off - officially licensed. Never a big seller, though.
