That is very unfortunate. I hope Jon is able to get the application back up. The internet is but a shadow of its former self without this wonderful resource.

Went there myself and nothing yet. That site's forum has been overwhelmed by spammers; and then comments in the database were being hit with spam, as I spent a lot of time getting many deleted. The message system has not functioned for awhile. I wanted to add items before they got installed or sold. I guess I'll just save photos hoping the site restarts.

have ofttimes gotten the impression over the years during attempts to use the site that this is ever so...

The CEO, the operations manager, the system administrator, the accountant, the communications manager and the dishwasher over at Velobase are all the same person, AFIK.

In my mind it looks a bit like this at Velobase HQ:



I get that it takes a while to fix things when you're running that site in your spare time and on a shoestring budget.
