Hello, I am working on a project, it is a car firing trebuchet catapult for use in confined spaces. As I am sure you are aware a trebuchet works effectively utilising mechanical advantage gained through lever lengths, but since this is for use in confined spaces making the lever longer to increase the projectile launch velocity is not possible. I have a cunning plan to get around this and that is to use an extremely dense mass as the counter balance weight to the projectile. On reading around the subject I have found dark matter seems ideal but sadly I cant find any genuine dark matter on ebay. A friend told me a 100GS chainset would be a viable and much more readily available alternative. Can I ask if your chainset has been calibrated?
