USE rigid forks

I dont know if they're meant to be like this but its highly doubtfull,
i'm trying to fit these forks and this is the second headset i've tried but there is still a gap of about a centermeter,I cant push the lower race down anymore due to a ridge so if anyone has any ideas or comments that would be appreciated on how to fit these properly

When I inspected mine closely, I also noticed the ridge. Actually I think it is normal the race doesn't rest on the crown, but about 0.5 - 1cm bove it.

Does the race fit feel solid?

it is normal , I had the same on my USE suspension fork. the crown race seats 1 cm above the crown .

yeah, they do feel solid but look bloody wierd....

you could add some blue anodised headset spacers below it to make it look neater? although it might tqke some jiggery pokery to make sure they aren't loose but don't stop the crown seating properly...

it just seems to be more exposed having it like that for muck and dirt to get in??
