not a bike ? i cant work it out whats a avatar image 8kb ? i use the smallest settings on my cammera and it still sont upload only on the gallery .help ! love this site

just upload pix with posts etc had no luck i am a real caveman with pcs dont have a glue what avatar is ..whould like to post a pic by my name in posta etc thanks

a pic under your name is an avatar,you need to use some basic software to save an image down to the desired size,a pic in post is different,easiest way to do that is to upload your pics to www.photobucket.com and use the link it gives you .img. and paste that link into your post on this site,dead easy.

ugh !!!

photobucket !! i got close three times everytime i tryed to get my pic to avatar the whole pc crashed ?!! this is a nightmare ! cheers tho

I use a 'cheap' third party software for changing picture size - Sizerox. i got it through www.versiontracker.com some stuff is free. Sizerox is only $10 and easy to use will reduce a picture to 100x75= 4.5 So easy. to choose a new picture at will

Someone on here recommended paint.net which is a free download and reduces the size of your pics easily. Worked for me anyway.

you seem to be a little confused.photobucket is for uploading pictures into your posts,avatars are a completely different thing,as said above,it needs to shrunk to 100x100 pixels and 8kb size to be used as an avatar,photobucket has nothing to do with this! hence your pc crashing.
