unusal chris king ,needing answers

why does my ck front classic, only have the word KING on it?
Not chris king made in USA etc etc
I know it to be a ck ,and its identical to a current ck classic
Could it be aftermarket? or on an Exhibition Stand in some show?
any answers[ i wont email the man cos im too lazy+they're prob fed up hearing from me hasseling them about their new bottom bracket[SHHHH]

its because its an early one dude, ive had a few like that, just said king, like the original headsets had no text on the cups.
