Univega Alpina 550 help!

Retro Newbie
Hi, I have said bike in subject and am in need of help. The bike has been in my shed since a big crash 10ish years ago. Looking to get it back working but unable to find any info anywhere about it. It has Marzocchi forks with 60mm travel which need overhauling. How do I go about this or is it best to buy another set? It's which ones? Any help greatly received.

Re:

Hi Ade and welcome
I can't help much on this but no doubt some on here could. A lot of old Marzocchi forks are easily repairable, parts available and still work well. Put up some pictures of the bike and forks and no doubt someone smarter than me will chip in with help.
cheers

Re:

There is very little information on Univega, but I think the 550 would have been from 1994 at the earliest.
Pictures would help of course...

In terms of the forks, as already stated, Marzocchis are pretty simple inside and relatively easy to service. The problem might be finding spare parts, particularly things like replacement bushes.
Again, identifying the forks would help too.
