Unique prototype Raleigh DHO Frame

Retro Newbie
I have a unique Raleigh DHO frame that would be ideal for anyone wanting to do a retro bike build.

I worked on the design of this frame for Raleigh from '98 to '99 and this one is a unique prototype.

I used special teardrop shaped 853 tubes from Reynolds to increase the strength of the front triangle.

The original DHO had normal cable guides with hydraulic adapters, on this one I used hydraulic specific guides.

The bottom shock mount was beefed up by welding a second set of plates onto it.

There is an issue with the frame, the rear mech hanger is bent, and nearly broken, the frame will need to be taken to a frame builder to have this fixed. I suggest you contact your local frame builder with the photo of the broken bit to get an idea of how much it is going to cost to repair before you bid.

The frame is with me in France at the moment. I think it will cost somewhere between £20 to £40 to send it back to the UK.

You could either spec the frame up with DH kit and it would still make a good DH machine, but I would be tempted to put light weight gear on it and make it into a great enduro machine, suitable for all day, all mountain riding.

The frame is on ebay here http://r.ebay.com/cbsD6H

Cheers

Phil
