Uncomfortable brake levers.....modolo, campag, etc...

I suppose it depends a little on how 'high' you have the levers on the bars and also the shape of the bars.....also do you tend to ride on the hoods or the drops. I tend to ride on the hoods and the modolo lever blade shape means it's tricky to brake when on the hoods.
 
I think you are right, with my small fingers it's probably the curve of the levers which defeat me rather than the body.

I don't usually grip the hoods whilst riding unless out of the saddle. My hands flit over the tops but usually end up with just a couple of fingers resting on the hoods....

Old Ned reminded me, I used to use and sell Universal brake levers in the 1950/60s. I used to buy the centre pull (was that the 61?) in 50 pairs lots, I think that used to be 50% discount. After selling the levers I can't remember what we did with the brakes, but I'm sure we would not have thrown them away.
