Un-lipped rims. Will I die?

Well you'll you know if your O.K as the tyre will unseat during inflation. For me the unseating happened on old steel rims. I think steel rims are more prone to this. You alloy ones should grip the tyre more.

I put big pressure in some tyres on an old Raleigh recently and noticed the tyre had jumped off the rim. They were lipless rims and the pressure lifted the tyre bead away from the wheel. As soon as I dropped it back down to 60psi they were fine, but 80psi+ and they lifted off again.
