here is my custom built Alves 853 frame.
this was made in scotland by charlie ralph in 2000/2001 from prototype reynolds 853 flat-sided teardrop tubing for top and down tubes, reynolds 853 seat tube, prototype reynolds blade chain stays and columbus nemo seat stays.
these were all beautifully fillet brazed, along with an internal brake tube, cable stops on headtube so no cable rub!, rear hose guide and disc tabs with caliper set inside rear triangle for clean lines, crud guard mounts and a chain hook.
it's painted silver, metallic red and a mixed metallic green/blue to match michelin wildgrippers!
this was then clear coated with some metalflake too so looks nice in the sun! Alves logo also painted on.

dimensions are:
top tube centre to centre - 550mm
seat tube centre to centre and centre to top - 415\470mm
chain stay - 415mm
head tube- 110mm
fits me like a glove at 5' 11''
it does have some chips and scratches, and some very fine lines beneath the paint, but these are all cosmetic only not structural!

frame with Hope C2 rear brake £225 paypal gift posted

Ok. Thanks, Mike.
Just to check, the holes are 51mm apart, right?
What travel does it allow in the front?
My girlfriend is looking for some sexy frame that allows 80-100mm forks. Well, more like 100mm.

Cheers,
Alex

So so so so so so so nice.

I may need to buy a scratchcard and hope to win!

Good luck with the sale.
