ultimate klunker project?

In my thoughts: A bike created, from a mishmash of the available parts. Each chosen to withstand the abuse of aggressive off road riding. Originating from the era just before mass produced conventional mountain bikes were available.

Just my opinion though...

we have one of this in my bike shop in copenhagen; it rides really nice, but the org. pedals are just a cone of metal, no balls.. kind of special

wow! love it! do you think you could post some clearer pics?

I love the old Paratrooper bikes. Very cool.

A local friend has a Swiss Army bike. It's a proper one (not a modern repro), but it doesn't have all the cool accessories like bags or gun-carrier.

It's built to last a lifetime- It has huge bearings in the hug shells and grease-ports everywhere.

But it weighs a ton! With only 1 gear and really crappy brakes, I wouldn't like to ride it up hills (or down!) with a heavy load.

i can upload some later today..

a swiss army bike?! we have one of them to! its the most amazing pice of mechanic a have seen the hubs run smooth as hell and thy are from 1944!
