Yeah!...following on from my other thread re the Golf V5 which I thought was a bit shite...I have bought this. Been offered £200 for the plate by a dealer, which must mean it's worth £500+ (some plate site suggested £1100 so I may have a go on Ebay for a laugh)

I have just bought my first BMW!

I have added a couple of not-so-good-it-was-getting-dark pictures

109K miles with full service history and previously owned by a Canon...so I guess the car hasn't been ragged!

So far so good but it does have the dreaded airbag light on. I had figured on getting one of those b800 diagnostic tools?

M52/TU engine

Finished in metallic steel blue

Grey 'argyle' fabric interior

Automatic with Steptronic

Sports leather steering wheel (option 255)

Light alloy Star Spoke 45 wheels (option 279)

Park distance control (option 50

Automatic air conditioning (option 534)

BMW business radio (option 661)

and a few other bits and bobs

I'm unsure about the rear glass...was Privacy Glass an option?

airbag maaaaaay be plugs under the seat. it happens a lot on a lot of other cars

a lot.

looks like its been painted too. front wheel arches are prone to russsssssssst

It Certainly wont be an airbag that's for sure, lift the seat, and thoroughly and clean the seat belt pre tensioner sensor, then reset with a code reader, (snap on or otherswise), the light will go out, if it does come back on, then confirm the fault code again, and replace the seatbelt pre tensioner sensor at fault.

Its not a great deal of money, and to be fair if you aren't selling it on, I wouldn't worry too much you aren't doing it any harm, leaving it as it is.

Yup...spots of rust here and there as to be expected...and I am sure there has been some repaint but overall pretty decent and not a bad buy at £800 I reckon (less a few quid when I sell the plate)

I don't think it has been repainted...maybe some localised repairs? You have a good eye

That looks like it would do the trick actually.

the seat belt pretensioner sensor are under the front seats as LGF mentioned

I think the plug in port for the scanner to read will either be under the dash or under the bonnet, it differs with age and model.
