No worries; hopefully someone will be able to help.

Do we think the Specialized GX26/X26 and the Ukai UM-20/U12 are one and the same? They look pretty similar...
Scratch that X26 & GX26's were made by Saturae; found a pair on eBay (see picture below) . Although these could be an option as Ukai's don't seem to come up that often.

Re:

Not much help, but isn't (wasn't) Saturae just another brand for hoops squeezed out of the Ukai extruder?

My take is that when a man is tired of RM20s, he's tired of life .... however, the Spesh/Saturae/UM20s have a nice smooth profile and good anodizing. Could boxy section rims be a bit old fashioned for the white heat of 1988?

Re:

Nothing wrong with RM20's! I've got three bikes using them but I fancy something different...

In an anorak way, this thread's been quite an education...

I know what you mean, about Araya's I've got two rigs running them ........RM14's and RM400's
but its always nice to have a bit of Retro variety like a Ukai

You're right Saturn/Saturne/Saturae is a brand name used by Specialised. From what I've read there were copyright issues with the Saturn name which is why you have different names but they all came from Ukai.

Dug out my old '87 Specialized brochure and found some more info on their Saturae rims.

On my 84' Fat as standard, seem very tidy.

These are speedline's and very sought after with a high price in the bmx 20" and cruiser 26" world
Here's a pair for anyone who's interested; link.

Bit early for what I need.

Resurrecting an old thread. Here's another Ukai rim example from an 87/88 ? "Ritchey" Enduro (lugged frame made by Panasonic Japan)
made for the Canadian Market.
