UK steel

Mercian do or did an MTB also Dave Hinde have done steel mtb. I think Pashley may also have built a steel mtb in the past or present.
Some of the early Ridgebacks were lugged steel, I had a frame of reynolds 501 with very slack angles, possibly UK built ?

Cleland never made their own frames. Pre- 1982 their frames were made by Roy Davies at Dees Cycles of Amersham or Bill Whitcomb in Liverpool. From 1982- 1984 they were made by Jeremey Torr of English Cycles in Telford.

David Wrath-Sharman at Highpath Engineering made Cleland inspired frames and bikes from 1985 to 1988 in Guildford. Then he moved to near Lampeter in Wales.

Edinburgh Bike Coop did the Cuillin in Tange Prestige around 1990 - I remember it was British built but not sure by who - may have been Falcon who I think still made their frames here at that point.

Bob jackson has turned out a few ATB's, I think Woodrup may have done some aswell.

woodrups, leeds(kirkstall road)currently supply a fine selection of finely crafted road bikes.no 'kit' bikes all bent and brazed in on-site workshop.
