uk postal problems?

Just had a parcel from one of the RB guys today, wheels. They were posted on 13th April, 1st class parcel. Perhaps the oh so small parcel had slipped behind a radiator or something..........

Not related really but I posted a set of skewers Royal mail to Spain on Tuesday afternoon and they arrived Friday morning.

That's a pretty impressive service for £2.37.

I've never actually lost anything in all my years of ebaying and more recently retrobike selling. The items that I have had to give a refund on usually make it back to me as undelivered. Not sure why it doesn't make it further than the delivery office, maybe there are postmen here on the forum who can shed some light.
