UK handmade bike show in london 11th to the 13th april

Re: Re:

Cheers Chris, I'm no less peeved at missing it, but at least I feel like I've got a flavour now, so that's good...

Sounds like my head may have spun off anyway, so maybe a close escape!

Yes it's a stunning building and quite suited, some of the people upstairs were a bit hidden away and the location for Independant Fabrication was wrong and I never found them!
Spoke to a lot of people about anodising and things. Chris inglehart seems like a nice chap! was surprised at the amount of people who had come from America. Chris King was there but didn't get a chance to speak to him.
The chap from Hope claimed that they are still using the same dye as the old days for the purple (3DV) but I'm sure it isn't!

Re:

Some pictures, a great day out, though I seem to have come back at least as confused as to what I want as before I went...

Re:

And some more...too many pretty things...and I didn't get a picture of my favourite (matt orange, modern materials but a strangely older vibe about it).

Re:

Ahh - nice pictures. After going Friday afternoon, I could have happily gone back Sunday and taken another look. There was so much to take in, and I thought of a whole bunch of things to ask people afterwards. Toad cycles - they were nice, the guys from Czech - Festka- outstanding track bike tucked almost out of sight. De Rosa, Faggin and Rourke were some of the bigger and older names there along with Condor. I missed Merenyi from Hungary who I have only recently heard of. The 20" Loop wheels looked fantastic and the hand made wooden tubular rims by the Royce stand were lovely. The more you looked, the more you saw. There was the opportunity to speak with a lot of very experienced, skilled and knowlegable people. I have to admit though, the sight of that bamboo raleigh chopper bought back some horrible memories.....
