Been looking for some cheapish new tyres. Seen some Panaracer Fire XC Pro.

But also I've seen them listed as fire xc are these the same tyre just missing the pro on the listing :?

Just a thought, as this is the UK are you in fact looking for Tyres, not sure what tires are :?

Sorry, couldn't resist

 Now edited to the correct UK spelling

Shouldn't that be 'speeling'? :P

Seriously, I bought some WTB Weirwolf at £20 the pair and they are very good except in really muddy stuff.

...and i may be wrong but i have found the wire bead ones you find in halfords (in your pic above) to be harder compound than the folding ones.

XC Pros are Kevlar bead and two rubber compounds.
XC are steel bead and single compound.

I think the 1.8 XC pro is a fantastic tyre, I use it all year round. It's on the narrow side of 1.8, mind.

i wondered that, but those pro's in the picture above aren't folders.

maybe it just refers to compound? As I've had pro's from Halfords (steel bead and a tenner) but they were deffo harder wearing. (and harder to get on the wheel)
