Hello,
I've seen a couple of 'Gios' bikes for sale near me, but both have something a bit suspect about them.
The first (Gios 1, photo below) is claimed to be from 1979. However, I think there should be a white decal on the top tube. There also seems to be no columbus decal on the seat tube. And the stem doesn't look right...
But the pantographed chainring and (maybe) seatpost look nice...
The second (Gios 2) looks like a cross bike - bar end shifters, cantis. Or maybe a time trial bike. And what looks like a racing number hanger on the top tube. But the colour looks very wrong.
Would be nice to own a real Gios one day, but these both seem a bit odd and there are of course lots of fakes out there.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
Cheers,
Johnny
