two doblos in one day... Now Both fixed!

Re: two doblos in one day...

It is great when you get to know a vehicle, back when I ran Beetles I could pick out problems almost as though they were going on in my own body. I am determined to make room for a Doblo in my like sometime soon, they fit my needs for something mid size and idiosyncratic. Good luck with the other one, I am sure you will crack it. Then of course you could weld that crack.

Re: two doblos in one day...

All I can say is dont buy the facelift model or if you do, make sure its the 105 bhp 1.9 JTD model, no DPF!

Later interior is nicer but earlier models are tough as tractors and an MOT passing blankable EGR that doesnt F🤬🤬k up the nanny state software.

Re: two doblos in one day...

It seems the problem with most modern cars comes down to a faulty acronym somewhere or other. What ever happened to "your big end has gone". :D

Doblo number two fixed!

Blanked off EGR with back of old HDD caddy

jump started it off the silver one.

Cleared error codes.

Revved it to its max until nice and warm, then hot, then blimey thats a bit toasty!

Took it for a spin. It would only rev up to its 'limp mode' limit of 3100 rpm so I just took it for a normal spin up to the first roundabout of the A1 at Buckden - round the roundy bout then, strewth! It accelerated off like a scolded cat with a big foof of crap from the exhaust.

On happy Doblo.

Engine light stays on as it will be always reading an error code off the EGR but it can stay that way until MOT time.
