Retro Newbie
hi all
can anyone help, i have a TVT 92 carbone that has been sitting in my attic for years after i broke the threaded part of the rear derailleur hanger, it sheared off pretty much horizontal ' 9 across to 3' if you picture a clock face, anybody know of a successful repair and by whom or have come across a complete drive side dropout?
thanks

Bit of a shame to have a TVT in the loft :-(

Is there enough meat left on the remaining part of the dropout to fit (or have it made to fit) a mountain bike replaceable dropout?

Welcome to RB

It may be possible to bodge a job by using a hanger which is incorporporated into a rear mech. This can be fitted in the dropout with a semi-circular fitting. Although this option may not be best, at least it would get you moving.

Have a look at SJS Cycles - they usually have fittings.

This mech -

MAY BE ABLE TO BE FITTED with this -

N.B. The word MAY as i am not 100% sure.

OR -

Have a look at this fitting -

Which looks like an easier option.

I hope this is of some help.

hi
thanks for the info, i made a few calls and it seems that Argos might have come up trumps so keeping my fingers crossed when i drop down to them, going to see if they can repair a Vitus 979 and an Alan Carbonio whilst i'm there.
