Tulstar's Amazing £10 Sale!

Thank you for all the nice comments to those who have given them.

But....

To those who went to the trouble of emailing me the abusive messages to my personal email address..... Don't worry I won't mention names, you know who you are and I'll spare you the embarrassment of naming and shaming you for your horrible comments... But you can **** OFF.

I AM NOT a scammer. I never have been, and I never will be. You WILL be reported, and you WON'T be buying anything from me ever again.

To those who were quick to jump on the fashionable "scammer" bandwagon and accuse me of things before giving me a reasonable time to respond (unfortunately I cannot respond to posts / comments straight away when I am in work but I try my best), perhaps now you won't be so quick to judge. I took time out of work this afternoon to issue FULL REFUNDS to EVERYBODY, with the exception of the odd couple, who were happy for me to keep the money and send them what they'd bought.

To those who have apologised - Thank you.

I've decided that I won't be listing any of this stuff again. I will message those who originally bought items off me (with the exception of the abusive ones - your loss!), and I'll be offering the items again, and throwing a few bits in for free that should have been sold to the arseholes.... I will then take great pleasure in sending a message to aforementioned arseholes to let them know that someone else has now got what THEY wanted, and got it for free.

For those who have paid me and are happy for me to keep the money and send the items they bought - I will send them on the 21st November as promised.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

shame that you have a lot of hassle over this tulstar, suppose there is a degree of paranoia on the sale board at the moment (due to a very few issues of late) and also probably because your prices were so good, your generosity looked to good to be true I suppose. It does not excuse any abuse but I'm glad you got the mess sorted and applaud you for your kind karma intentions- well in there.

Gazz has summarised it above well and I think it is very sad that someone's generosity was so readily misinterpreted by a cynical few - if you are so quick to jump to dark conclusions then why did you offer to buy in the first place?

I reiterate that there have been thousands of smooth transactions on here and only a tiny proportion of problems although I appreciate how incredibly angry it can feel to be on the receiving end. Regardless, it does not give anyone the right to fling around public accusations based on the flimmsiest of 'evidence' - you should at least give someone the opportunity to put things right before mouthing off in public.

Anyway, thanks to Mark for sorting this out so promptly even though a huge mountain was made out of what was a non existant molehill. I hope that the unpleasantness has not put you off as this really is a friendly and trusting place in the main, although it would be unsurprising if it didn't make you at least a bit wary.

I hope that those who sent abusive e-mails/PMs feel suitably ashamed as that is totally unacceptable. Mark, if you want to forward me details that would be helpful although you may feel that you want to leave the unpleasantness behind you - your call completely.

Sounds like you're not an internet person?!

It's rife with scams and you've now resorted to a certain level of aggression, if someone's given you unjust personal comment then fair do's but on the basis of this thread they have cause for concern.

Look at the facts, no feedback thread, double selling items, no images of items, cash up front i'll post out when I can, taking paypal gift, bank transfer all over the place.

You're naive if you think everyone respects teh interweb as a trustworthy place, it's not.

Just list the items as and when you're ready to sell.

This has happened before with people that send out stuff initially and then realise they can go for the scam, most that are after a £10 bargain have jumped to your defence and yet you're still playing the poor me fiddle.

If you really do live in a world of that level of nativity then my utmost apologies are due to you but the aim of my initial post was purely to point out that if something is too good to be true then it usually is. As a user of many forums with very good natured, well meaning for sale sections my points are wholeheartedly there to make users think before they jump.

Best regards.

Skeelsie,

I'm not naive thank you. I realise that the internet is rife with scams and the fact that I myself have been scammed for over £2,000 in one go by a seller on eBay would back this up.

I also realise and understand that people would be concerned when they heard that items had been double-sold.

What I DO NOT appreciate is the fact that certain people gave me no chance to rectify the situation before sending me abusive emails to my personal email address, which they had obviously got from Paypal when they made the payment.

Regarding the feedback thread - I do have one. I don't know why or how it's happened, but since I installed Windows 7 on this laptop the URL has disappeared and hence it no longer appears at the bottom of my posts.

Cheers,
Mark

Refund recieved for DMR V8's wasn't really worried as I got in an early PM and Tulstar did state T's and C's for everyone here, if you don't like, don't buy. Simples.

Carl.

Good call locking this.

Have updated Tulstar's profile with feedback url, not Windows 7 related.

Given current goings on with other (now banned) members it's understandable this has caused a bit of a stir. Perhaps we all need to take time to review the Classified guidelines once again > http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17697

However surely everyone needs a fair go. Tulstar made a mistake (which he'd do well not to repeat in future  ) which was corrected quickly. Please let's not jump on the bandwagon....
