Both effeto mariposa and tufo should be easy for any decent LBS to order, failing that then online at more or less any of the larger dealers.

Just watched a vid on the Tufo tape cool i really like but do you have to use a Tufo tyre or will it work with any Tub tyre?

As title ive got some nice 700c Tubular rims which need new tyres the thing is the bike shops in Gloucestershire don't seem to want to fit them. Any know a shop or anyone around the Gloucestershire area that can fit them or near ish to Glos if i have to travel a bit.

Go and see Graham Foot at Slam69, just off Hurricane Road near the post office. He'll sort it out no problem.

It'll work with any tub, but, on a personal level, i'd avoid tufo like the plague, they ride like sh1t compared to decent tubs. The only (minor) benefit is they are fairly tough straight out of the packet (which is probably why they ride so badly!)

Tufo S33s are really tough. I wouldn't go so far as to say they ride like what you said, they're pretty damn good in my opinion. Better than any clincher or other tubular in that price range.

If you want to travel to the Forest , Marcus at Severn Valley cycles is into racing and could do this or pop into Pedalabikeaway, the cycle centre at Cannop, on Friday , late afternoons and ask Dave Evans. He has done millions of them. Speak to him not the lads in the workshop.
