Retro Newbie
I would love to find out more info on this bike and have not been able to find another one like it online. I am guessing it is from early 70's? Has all Campy components including fork, wheels and brakes. Here is a video: Thanks!

I worked in a bike shop that sold Falcon bikes in the 70's and it's not a 70's Falcon. Internal cables and all sorts of things going on lol. Frankenbike?

If it is Frakenbike, they did a great job then. Even has the rubber intact on the brake levers with the Campy logo on them. Was wondering if it were a "one off" prototype or used by one of their team riders as it does have a name on it "Barroso."

Re:

Sid Barras rode for Falcon/Campagnolo 82-84 looks like his size too.

Be careful with words like on-off and prototype they are like red rags to purists ( just friendly advice).

Maybe contact Andy Thompson on here, he posts as Featch.

He oversaw the run-down and closure of the framebuilding side of Falcon cycles and might have some insight into what you have got. As I mentioned it's not a 70's frame (San Remo Equipe) nor does it look like a later Super-Pro.

Re:

I have never seen a Falcon that looks like that. It's probably more of a late 80's bike than a 70's
I think any reference to it being Sid Barras's bike is a red herring!

It mainly has first gen Campagnolo Athena I think (you should have filmed the drive side ;) ). These were (maybe) probably the original components so late 80's. Forks are probably replacements and fitted with a Shimano headset when replaced and that fugly stem! Rather unsure, of when Vento's became available I'm thinking more mid to late 90's so probably a replacement.

I'd complete the Campag groupset fit some shiney chrome steel forks and it would be a stunner.

I did actually buy a Falcon back in the late 80's/ early 90's and the graphics were of the same flavour as this.

I dont know much about Falcons but that definitely looks like a frankenbike to me, something some previous owner tried to update.
