Next up, this cheeky little number I've had hanging around waiting to be put together for an age.
I'm useless, at doing photos, especially before ones, but here are the only ones I have of it on arrival, taken to show the gusseting
, on the later ones, for another forum member.
The frame has, no cracks or dents, but had a good few chips and flakey areas, so I cut and touched it up  cut it again and then polished.
The Halson inversion fork that it came with, had a rough base and brace yellow repaint, is missing a canti boss and had half rock solid elastomers and half that were mush. So I didn't have anything to lose by going crazy, with the fluorescent galaxy psycadellia! I've knocked up a hillbilly, rigid conversion (I doubt this bike will ever be ridden) and have a magura solution for the missing canti stud, unless anyone has one knocking around??
Groovy
MAN!
This was always going to be a bike of dream componentry, stuff I wanted on a build as a whippersnapper. XT 1" 1/4 Headset came with the frame, I cleaned it up and lubed it and as they do, worked like it was 1994 again.
Stuning day today, so knocked up, a mock up, al fresco styleee.
The wheels assigned to this estay bea-stay, are really tidy dx hubs on unknown but probably araya, rims and S/S spokes, were found on this forum.
I have had these Panaracer Magics, squirrelled away for a while. They're pretty solid, but just too nice to ride around here, with my track record. Perfect for the display piece this will be.
Squared away for the evening...
To be continued.....
