Trek 990 steel 96 question

Who remembers the Trek 990 from 1995 or 1996.

It was in the catalogue with the white tioga tires. Frame was True Temper.
the bike had rigid forks and iirc XT components.

Cant find decent onformation anymore.

dont know if you are still looking for one of that frames/bikes, and its not a 990, but 970 from 97 - but having the same True Temper frame as the 990 from 95, maybe its from interest for you.

Change some parts, plus add biscuits Tiogas and that it.

That was a beautiful bike..esp with the root beer colour..one was just on ebay but didnt meet the reserve..even had the original tan tiogas..

I've got a '92 990 frame, currently trying to get the bloody BB out of.

It's not the lightest thing in the world but interesting as it's brazed and lugged rather than tig welded.

Incidentally, anyone know what a to c rigid fork world fit?
