Trek 8900 arrival

Looking forward to seeing how this goes

to be honest I wasn't going to go for it especially as it was collection only and in B'ham. But when I had a client ask to see me there I thought tow bird, one stone!

Really pleased I got it in the end as it's a lovely frame and will build up to a light and responsive ride...

bit, in my opinion, and for a respect for the original bike, you must find a XC pro groupo.
Both 8700 and 8700 has ATAC stem, XC pro groupo, and bullseyes hubs.
The difference for the 8900 is the RS1 fork with yellow decals, and grafton brakes.

I've ordered some yellow Magura cables but will use black at the moment.
Unfortunately all of my XC Pro is on the Orange Prestige so it's got XTR and an old XT front mech (I only had one that would fit!).

I am sure the 8700 Pro had the Tioga T-bone stem. Nice job though on the bike retrokona!!

it probably did, but the previous owner is the same height as me so changed it for a longer stem, I have a small worry that the frame is slightly too small for me!

now it's ride-able with the temp Maguras on, I'll probably strip and respray them black but I'll see.
