Hello, new here so please let me know if I am doing anything wrong!
1997 trek 800 mountain track for sale - 21inch from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube, I’m 6ft and seems to be a good fit.
Nothing special about the bike, purchased because I was fed up of these thin wheeled city bikes, and wanted the comfort and durability of the bikes I remember riding growing up! tyres are probably worth more than the frame! Started doing this bike up, upgraded with new v brakes, nos shifters / levers, maxxis dth tyres and fresh tubes, Cables etc. So rides just fine as it is... little chips to the paint all over the frame, but nothing major at all, wheels don’t look great, but roll perfecty... no dents or cracks! Great looking Solid little bike If you ask me...
I took it out in the Forrest at the back of my house and couldn’t believe how much fun it was to be back out there! Hadn’t ridden in anything but road for the last 15 years! Long story short, i loved it so much I now have a Klein attitude (Trek but with internal cabling) on the way, arriving tomorrow, and you know how it is with the wife... there is also a Marin Bear Valley SE I need to get rid of... but will wait until after the Klein arrives to post that!
So I need to find it a new home fast... looking for £50 for a quick sale, postage on top or collection from London SE19 Payment by PayPal f&f
Would also be up for swapping for a similar condition / age bike but in my wife’s size, which I think would be as small as frames come.
Thanks! Pete
