What's the best disc to use? Will my vintage 90's Sony CD play the disc's?

Most CD players will play 'burned' CD's as long as the refelectivety of the disc is high. I have a 1982 1st gen CD player that will play burned discs quite happily.

There are no 'best' discs, just use a recognizable brand name for best results. The recording layer is easily damaged on the cheapies.

I use verbatim DVD 's only because I won 200 of them off ebay, but with the mac, they will burn pretty much anything, as to playing on musical equipment, remember for finalise the disc.

But if you get a stupid error report saying failed to verify disc, ignore it, it is a mac glitch, another one that Apple are ignoring.

My next comp won't be a Mac, that is for sure !

You can burn on pretty much any CD, but the higher quality ones will usually get less read errors when in the car's CD player. Same thing LGF said really, the cheapies are damaged too easily.

It's the OS' fault, not the computer's. Just put Windows on it and it'll all be fine.
