Tour of Britain 2017 OMG!

Just back from seeing the ToB go past.
The breakaway was in place and it seemed a pretty big gap from the roadside. I was near the top of what would be in pro cycling terms, a little hump, but Cav was hanging off the back looking unhappy!
Anyway, worth going along to see it and I got a nice bike ride in too as a bonus. Now looking forward to the finish in Kelso.

Was watching it earlier there on TV, 2nd sprint is coming up, camera zooms in on big sign at side of road which says "Sprint 1KM", they immediately cut to adverts.WTF? They know it's coming but just eff off. See ya, the adverts are more important than the action we're supposed to be showing.
Nearly 4 minutes later they return, having missed the sprint, to aerial view of Edinburgh Castle with caption "Earlier today", they then proceed to show the start and runout, then 1st sprint followed by KOM, then barely show 2nd sprint, then straight back to live race like nothing happened, no apology. It was as if they had no control over adverts or couldn't be bothered then they had to do the flash-back to cover up for their incompetence.

ITV4 are normally OK with cycling, do good job with the TDF, Giro and now the highlights of the Vuelta but it's obvious the folk doing the TOB don't have a clue.

I thought about it. Turned out I didn't need to dress up silly though as there were loads of other guys in spandex and tap shoes!
