It goes through Winchcombe approx 200 yards from my front door! And it's a Saturday. Stage 7.

There's a sprint and a kom right by here. Choices choices............

Re:

I've been to the TOB a few times, you need to pick your spot early and I mean HOURS before the race comes through.

First time I went to see it right up on Dartmoor. I have never seen so many cars / vans / campers up there, it looked like the centre of Bristol on a Saturday.

The riders zoom through really fast, but the build up and atmosphere is excellent.

Saw it at the top of the Struggle last year and it was packed going to see stage 2 this year as it's my closest.

Stage 1 passes fairly close to my gaff as well. I might go and watch my first live road race since the 1992 Milk Race in the drizzle in Midlothian!

Just as a point of interest stage one finishes in Kelso. The final sprint is on the same street that they used a couple of years ago. It is a cobbled road and it is in truly awful condition. I watched them on the tv coverage and was amazed at the speed they went on that surface on those skinny road bike tyres! Wouldn't want to go that fast on my fatbike.
